Kim Finklestein, MPT

Founder of Postureworks LA

Kim has been working in the physical therapy space for over 25 years, with a diverse background ranging from clinical practice, to hospitals, to yoga studios. She is on a journey to unlock better movement systems – gathering inspiration from her training in pilates, integrative body psychotherapy, Mezieres method & gyro tonics to transform the “traditional” approach to treating patients.

After experiencing a life-changing injury herself, Kim was determined to find a non-surgical treatment. This led to discovering the unparalleled benefits of the Neurac method and the 3D movement scan used in Postureworks today.

Samantha

Samantha Anderson

Redcord Specialist

Samantha Anderson has been a movement/body specialist in the Postureworks method for over 13 years treating a variety of clients and injuries. Uniquely treating every client and finding ways to overcome their injuries, is the approach provided in each session to ensure success. Samantha endured a traumatic hip disorder as a child, which exposed her to the world of physical therapy and basic re-learning of movement mechanics at a young age. She developed a love for how the body can heal through specific methods, and now translates that love of healing into helping others do the same. Graduating with a B.S. degree in Kinesiology at California State University Long Beach, as a Physical Educator, Samantha applies her knowledge of movement in helping clients become more familiar with their proprioception.

Her approach encompasses how children and adults move daily in life and in sports and enhances their overall awareness of Posture to avoid injury and sustain a healthy lifestyle. Samantha is a certified Massage Therapist from the Institute of Psycho Structural Balancing, a Balanced Body certified Pilates instructor, and a Redcord Active Specialist. Samantha integrates all these techniques into each session to set her clients up for success, providing greater awareness of their movement habits and how to overcome them for life.

Mia Babalis

Pilates Instructor

Mia Babalis is a Pilates teacher and Redcord specialist. She found Pilates after a debilitating injury to her back at age 14. Fortunately, she was introduced to Master Pilates Teacher Kathy Grant, who rehabilitated her and transformed the way she moved.
Kathy trained her to teach Pilates with a special emphasis on rehabilitation, entrusting her with her clients and running her studio.

Her training also enabled her to have an extensive career as a modern dancer with the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble, Ballet Hispanico, Mikhail Baryshnikov’s White Oak Dance Project, and the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company. In 2018, Mia came to Postureworks as a client and fell in love with it. The therapist’s level of care and expertise was unparalleled, and the Neurac/Redcord system provided such dramatic results in her body, that she began training to become a Redcord Specialist immediately. She has been with PWs since ever since and loves it!
